Celebrating 100 Years of Serving Altadena
Share Your Memories and Stories with Us!
Starting as a bushel of books in a small schoolhouse in 1908, the Altadena Library grew until it became a special district in December 1926.
A lot has changed in the past 100 years, but one thing remains true, our staff is 100% committed to supporting you – our neighbors, civic groups, businesses and organizations that make Altadena such a unique community – bringing you library services, technology, physical and digital materials, inclusive spaces, educational and cultural programs, and hopefully joy.
Our stories are your stories. So as we prepare to celebrate our centennial, we want to hear from you! Please share your stories and memories through the form below!
“What does the Altadena Library mean to you?”
