Meet the artist-in-residence at Altadena Library: Linda Illumanardi.
A local botanical printer, Illumanardi has been awarded a grant from the Picerne Family Foundation to teach Botanical Printing and Natural Dyeing at the Altadena Library District.
The yearlong residency will allow her to offer classes — free to the community — from August 2022 through July 2023. The August and September 2022 classes are booked or waitlist only; registration for October 2022 hasn’t opened yet.
Illumanardi has a master’s degree in Fine Arts with a concentration on Modern Painting. She has been an educator since 1979 and has taught ages 3-89.
Originally from Vermont, she has made a home in Altadena since 1999. Her expertise and background, along with a genuine love for teaching, make her artist residency a perfect fit for the Altadena Library District.
